Enterprise Homelab

Welcome to my Enterprise Homelab! This setup is designed for high performance, reliability, and scalability, featuring a robust network infrastructure and powerful servers.

Network Infrastructure

The core of the network is the Unifi Enterprise Fortress Gateway firewall, which provides advanced security and routing capabilities. It's connected to the Unifi Cable Modem via a 2.5Gb Ethernet link, ensuring high-speed internet access.

The LAN from the firewall connects to a Unifi Aggregation Switch with a 10Gb SFP+ uplink. This core switch serves as the backbone for all high-speed connections within the lab.

Connected to the Unifi Aggregation Switch are:

  • Both servers (Lenovo P720 and Lenovo P910) with 10Gb SFP+
  • The UNVR (Unifi Network Video Recorder) with 10Gb SFP+
  • A Unifi Enterprise 24 PoE switch with 10Gb SFP+, which connects to:
    • USP PDU Pro (via FE)
    • AP U7 Pro (via 2.5 GbE)
  • A SFP+ GBIC 10Gb Ethernet adapter that extends connectivity to a Unifi Enterprise 8 PoE switch in the attic. This switch connects to:
    • AP U6 Enterprise In-Wall (via 2.5 GbE)
    • AP U7 Pro Wall (via 2.5 GbE)

The access points provide comprehensive wireless coverage throughout the property.

The entire network stack is powered by the Unifi Power Distribution Pro PDU, which is in turn plugged into one of two APC 1500 VA Lithium UPS units. These UPS units also provide uninterrupted power to the servers, ensuring continuous operation.
